Michael Ziegler
Education: Bialik High School Class of 2013, Dawson College Class of 2015, McGill Political Science Student. Born and raised in Montreal, the Canadiens have always been a big part of my life. What started out as a way to blow off some steam after a tough loss in the 2011 playoffs eventually became a popular hit with Facebook friends around the internet. On PGT, I like to dissect each and every Habs game and promote discussion about the team. Other interests: Aside from Hockey and sports in general, I love music. During the summer I work for Camp Wingate, a sleep-away sports camp just north of Montreal. Having Some Fun With Rumors

After spending the better part of the past week on Twitter, I've come across a couple rumors that I found to be quite intriguing. While most of these rumors likely won't happen, I thought it would be fun to see what the Habs could look like if these trades were to be completed.

1. Chris Stewart to Montreal Canadiens for Travis Moen and a pick/prospect.

2. Andrei Kostitsyn and Yannick Weber to the Nashville Predators for the rights to Alex Radulov + 1st round pick. Check out Radulov's stats in the KHL here. Ridiculous.

3. Jeff Carter to Montreal Canadiens for Tomas Plekanec, Tomas Kaberle, 2013 1st round pick and a prospect.

If these 3 trades were to actually be completed, this is what your 2012-2013 Montreal Canadiens could look like.

Stewart - Carter - Radulov
Cole - Desharnais - Pacioretty
Leblanc - Eller - Gionta
Geoffrion - White - Blunden

Markov - Emelin
Subban - Gorges
Diaz - Dumba (5th overall pick)

But who are we kidding? These trades won't happen. Or will they?

Top 5 NHL Playoff Rituals

5. Orange Crush
This one isn't really a tradition but it's so cool to look at I couldn't leave it out. Watching the Philadelphia Flyers in the playoffs is a thing of beauty. With every Flyer fan in the building rocking their home team's orange jersey, it really is an amazing site.

4. The Whiteout
What originally started out as a tradition in Winnipeg has become one of the coolest things to see during the playoffs. The sea of white surrounding the ice in Phoenix looks awesome, especially when it's a sold out crowd. Props to the fans for keeping this amazing tradition alive.

3. Rat Trick
This tradition doesn't date as far back as the other ones but it's still pretty cool. Back in 1995- 1996 season, when the Florida Panthers last made the playoffs, one of their players Scott Mellanby killed a rat in the locker room. After winning that series and eventually going on to lose to Colorado in the cup finals, a tradition was born, it was called: The Rat Trick

Jordie Benn

How's this for a stat; in just 29 games, Jordie Benn has already set a career high in goals with 4. That is more than all star defensemen Erik Karlsson, Brent Burns, Victor Hedman and Dustin Byfuglien... COMBINED!!
